WHAT TO CHECK BEFORE PLACING A CALL FOR AC REPAIR
- The thermostat is turned to “cool” or “heat,” and the fan is in the “auto” position.
- Check that all breakers are in the on” position.
- If you are participating in the FPL On-Call program, check whether a red light appears. If so, your power may be cut off temporarily. If not, you may have a bigger problem.
- The dehumidistat is set to “on”.
- Check to see that the filter is clean.
- Other appliances at home are functioning properly; if not, the problem is unlikely to lie with your AC unit.
